Kids are a HUGE part of Family Life Church. We provide fun, creative, and spiritually relevant connection for your children! Feel free to stop in and chat with our trained staff anytime. Look around. Ask questions. We’re here to serve your family!
What To Expect
Creative Kidz ministry endeavors to be the best hour of your child’s entire week! They begin by checking in (or registering if you are a guest) at the Kidz info booth in the lobby, where kind people will welcome you, and show you to your individual classroom if this is your first visit. Make sure to pick up a parent/guardian “check out” slip to be able to pick your child up from his classroom directly following the Encounter service. Your child will be dismissed to their individual classroom environments directly following worship…you may take them there if you’d like, there are security people watching for the safety of your little ones.
Please have children dress in clothing that is kid-friendly! Learning may be messy. At Family Life Church we try to use any and all avenues of creativity in order to help your child learn Bible concepts. Please send clothes that would be great for finger painting, etc. Special occasion clothes can be reserved for special occasions such as Christmas or Easter. We will make sure to plan “clean” learning on those days! We look forward to seeing you here!
Nursery – 2 Years
Nursing Mothers
Need a quiet place to care for your nursing infant? The nursing mothers room is right across the hall from the nursery. Closed-circuit broadcast of the service is provided for your convenience.
Parents’ Lounge
Have a child that is not quite ready for the nursery, or not ready to say “bye bye” to Mom or Dad during our gathering time? Utilize the Parents’ Lounge right next door to Common Grounds. We have a live video feed of the service in there so you can still be a part of what’s happening while providing the security/focus your child needs.
2 – 3 Years
Your little one gathers with others his/her age each week in the Jellyfish room. This environment is for new friends just joining the classroom for the first time, and those that have not yet mastered potty-training or are not quite ready for a more structured class. They will enjoy art time, music, creative stories, stimulating games, and playtime to connect with others, all while learning about Jesus.
Preschool
Your 3-, 4-, and 5-year old kiddos will love Turtle class, an “under water” experience for children who are fully potty-trained and in a structured preschool environment already, as they must be able to follow along with their friends and be used to flexibility. Turtles will enjoy interactive Bible stories, creative art, lots of music, games that emphasize the lesson, video stories, playtime, and more.
Kindergarten – Grade 1
This is our Starfish class. Students will be ready to learn through art, creative writing, stories from the Bible, media interaction, fun games, and family take-home papers where they can continue their learning experience with their family. They will have fun learning God’s Word and applying it to their everyday lives.
Grades 2 - 5
Currently, our grades 2 & 3 (Seahorses) and grades 4 & 5 (Dolphins) are combined, to make this the best hour of your child’s week – learning about God through all kinds of creative ways. There are also ping-pong tables and foosball to help connect with others through play. Come check out this environment and see how much the kids love Jesus and their friends!
